About Me

  

At almost 40, my husband and I found our life changing in the extreme when after 20+ years together, we learned we were having a baby. 

I have a few health issues, all manageable, and my "advanced maternal age" all playing into this pregnancy. So far, so good though! 

I may talk about different medical things on here as part of my journey. Please do not take my medical choices as advice - I am not a doctor. I am a writer and a photographer, and science confuses me.  So please, my choices are mine, and may not be the best for you. That is up to you. I hope however, that my life may offer hope, some laughs, entertainment, and general sharing of stories. 

A little bit more about me:

I live in Michigan near Detroit with my husband and a house full of animals - one English Setter and three assorted cats.

In my spare time, I love outdoorsy things, live a crunchy granola type lifestyle, play with animals and feed stray cats on my porch, travel and photography, which I do in addition to my day job. I dream of grand adventures in Italy and France. I also dream of living somewhere not in the 'burbs, with a little land, some trees, a view that is not of my various neighbors' yards.
